In this musicianship class, Ryan Kennedy and Charity Gayle describe some of the songwriting lessons they’ve learned, and also some of the tools they’ve developed as they seek to write songs for their church. They discuss how to reflect on what God is doing in your life, and congregation, and then how to prayerfully begin to develop and craft songs from the biblical themes you find at work in your midst.
This songwriting for your church class is presented by Charity Gayle and Ryan Kennedy. Charity lives and leads worship with her husband, Ryan Kennedy. They are cultivating a movement for 24-hour prayer and worship called GatherHouse, and are continuing to write and spread the gospel in the US and globally.
